At least seven protesters were killed on Saturday in Iraq as security forces cleared protest sites in Baghdad and Basra using live ammunition, tear gas and sound bombs, police and medics said.
Protesters have been demonstrating for weeks, saying they are fed up with corruption, a struggling economy and a lack of basic services.
But a heavy-handed security crackdown has left more than 250 dead.
