I know that this week has brought a lot of uncertainty to our country and community because of the Covid-19. Governor Holcomb and Mayor McDermott made the decision yesterday to limit any public meetings to 250. At this time, there have been no reported cases of the Covid-19 virus among the church or college family. Out of the desire to keep our people safe and work within the instructions from our mayor and governor, we will make the following changes to our normal Sunday schedule:
*We are asking senior citizens and those with significant underlying health issues to consider not attending the services for their own wellbeing.
*The Sunday school hour and main church service will be live streamed and can be accessed through the church website at www.fbchammond.com or through www.Youtube.com.
*All families should stay together for the Sunday school hour and the church service time. There will be NO nurseries, children’s Sunday school classes 4 years old through 12th grade, or Junior Churches. All nursery workers and children’s Sunday school teachers should attend an adult Sunday school class with their families. You will be directed where to go after Sunday school to see the main service.
*The bus ministry will be running their buses as normal but will be holding individual services off-site under the direction of Bro. John Francis and Bro. Keith Cowling.
*Sunday night church will be held at three campuses, with multiple locations to appropriately accommodate the crowd: the FBC campus, the Hammond Baptist Schools campus at the direction of Bro. James Woosley and Bro. Keith Cowling, and the Hyles-Anderson College campus under the direction of Bro. Eddie Lapina. A host will be at each location to direct you to the appropriate places.
*If you are showing any symptoms of fever, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, chills, shortness of breath, etc., please stay at home; and do not attend the services or ride one of the buses.
If you are showing symptoms of the Covid-19, please call your family doctor or local hospital.
*Giving can be done through the app, by text giving, by giving online, and by bringing it to the church property.
